Unspoken

The first day we met,
I admired your beauty's depth
Your radiating smile
Piercing through layers of my heart.
For a moment I remained frozen
As my words couldn't find it's way out.
Then you mentioned another
And my heart sank

"oh he was taken".
But the days went by
And the story had a twist of fate
It was like you were at my heart's mercy.
You watched your steps
Not wanting to trip down the stairs.
For every moment, a ray of happiness
Settled within me.

Oh the day we talked,
We talked for hours and hours
Yet it felt like a minute.
I wished I could hold unto that.
It was paradise, listening to your words
And your voice imprinted in my heart.
As we talked, you held my hands,
Looked into my eyes and I can swear
I saw a glimpse of heaven's glory.

I didn't feel butterflies
What I felt was something much stronger
Like the flight of eagles from the north.
When you called I leapt for joy,
Allowed the first ring, the second ring
Not to feel too desperate but then
Your calls were Like the hand of Midas
That turned my heart to gold

Sadly, the story changed
From the sweet romantic comedy to this
Suspenseful, blood thirsty tragedy.
For days, didn't see your calls or hear from you.
It was like you were wiped off the surface of the earth.

I was pained, my feelings were growing stronger than the tides
Couldn't control it, it was stronger and bewildered me.
It left me inflamed and weak.
I kept it hidden, putting on facade of a strong woman.
Though I was hurt and broken,
My words  had remained unspoken!!!
